Me in the Park is a three-piece rock combo from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in 2001, the band have built up a large fan base thanks in no small part to their live shows, the music is at times ambitious, witty, raucous and volatile, with equal parts Rock, ska and Funk.

Picture House released their début album ‘Shine Box’ in 1996 with hit single ‘Heavenly Day’. They have great success and supported act like Guns ‘N’ Roses and Meatloaf. The Academic – Hot Press band of the week

This four piece indie/rock band from Mullingar, Co. Westmeath talk to Johnny Bowe on Radio Nova’s Locals Only. They have being jamming together for years and formed the band – The Academic in 2013. They started out in a local battle of the bands competition but it wasn’t long before they were playing big festivals like Longitude Festival, Electric Picnic and Independence. They’ve supported bands like the Pixies, Kodaline and Little green cars! The future looks bright for these guys.

The Minutes – Hot Press band of the week

The minutes believe in Rock N Roll, following the release of their début album ‘Marcata’ they have play thousands of gigs to receptive audiences, they’ve lost roadies along the way, swept away by the speed of their growing popularity. Listen back here to hear their track ‘hold your hand’
